Welcome to An Síbín
An Síbín is situated on the Beara Peninsula, at the foot of the magnificent Healy Pass, almost exactly half-way between Kenmare and Castletownbere. We are surrounded by the beauties of nature, the wooded area across from us is home to red squirrels, a family of hares hop-by most mornings; at dawn and dusk the deer often wander past. The small Owenshagh River beside us provides a soothing accompaniment to a peaceful night’s rest.
An Síbín was built in the 1750s and has been a place of refreshment and rest ever since.
Kay and Philip are proud to be continuing with its tradition of warm welcome and service to visitors and the community.
